Random thoughts of one seeking her place in the worldPosts RSS Comments RSS

Yep, the kittens are 2 months old today.  They’re adorable and playful and fun, but they still haven’t developed that desire to get up in your lap to be petted.  I love to have a kitten sleeping peacefully in my lap so I can pet it.  I’ve heard that petting an animal actually helps lower your blood pressure.

Hubby decided, after being surprised by all of the kittens sleeping in his chair this morning, that we may as well let them have free reign of the house.  So far they’ve only been going into the kitchen. living room, and boy’s bathroom.  That suits me fine.  I’d rather they stay out of my room and bedroom.  Since they’re so small, and two are partially black, we’re going to have to be careful where we walk.

I’m really surprised that Waysaw (the mama) hasn’t weaned the kittens completely yet.  I think she’s working on it, but it’s still not uncommon to see them all balled up together with the kittens nursing.  She really is a good mama.

We haven’t seen our outside cat, Comet, for almost a week.  She seemed like she was doing better when we saw her Monday, but we haven’t seen her since.  I’m afraid that she might have gone off and died.  :(  She was a very loving cat, I just didn’t like the fact that she went to the bathroom where she wasn’t supposed to.  I’ll let you know if she shows up.

Well, that’s my update on the cats in my life.  Be blessed and have a great Thursday!
