Random thoughts of one seeking her place in the worldPosts RSS Comments RSS

We’ll be going on vacation soon, and it can’t come soon enough. I’ve been busy with my writing, homeschooling, and trying to keep the boys from fighting with one another, and I need a break. Yeah, I know, I’ll still have to deal with bickering boys, but that’s OK.

I’m so ready to leave my computer at home and just sit back and relax for a few days. We’ll be going camping, so I won’t be able to totally kick back, but the change of pace should do me good.

I still feel a little guilty about not going to see my parents, but where parents are concerned, there’s almost always some type of guilt. We’ll try to make it up to see them in a couple of weeks over a weekend, and all will be fine.

Oh, did I tell you what my sweetie did? The other day he calls me from work and tells me he has something he needs to do. When he came home, he had stopped at the store and bought some pizzas to fix for dinner. (I guess he had a craving. LOL) He also brought me three roses. Here’s a picture of them:

Aren’t they beautiful?  I can’t remember the last time that hubby BOUGHT me flowers!  My friend that we’re going camping with said it’s been at least since THEY’VE known me, and we met in 2002!  Now, before you think badly of him, he has bought me rose bushes in the past and picks roses and brings them to me.  It’s just been a while since he actually spent money on them.  And he said he just wanted me to know that he loves me.  Isn’t that sweet?  Yep, he’s a keeper!

Here is a picture of the kittens, too. They turned 2 weeks old yesterday. Their eyes are opened, and they’re even beginning to play with one another. I dread the day they can get out of the box and move around, but then that’s when they’re so much fun.

From top to bottom that’s Honey Bunch, Sunshine, Snuggles, and Ditto. They’re so cute, and my kids won’t leave their hands off! Ha! Mama’s not doing such a good job at leaving them alone, either . *wink*

Have a great weekend, enjoy God’s great creation, and make sure your loved ones know how you feel. Be blessed!
