Sorry I’ve been absent

I’ve been busy writing and editing for the last couple of days, so I haven’t had the opportunity to stop by and post. I really SHOULD be editing a document right now, but thought I’d take a few minutes to check in.
We celebrated Passover with our friends last night. It was an awesome time of fellowship, praise, and worship to our LORD. Today starts the Festival of Unleavened Bread. We’re supposed to abstain from eating any leavening, or yeast, for seven days. Leavening is a symbol for sin our lives, and since yeast permeates the entire dough, it shows how sin can affect our whole lives. Unfortunately, our sins don’t always JUST affect us, sometimes that sin rubs off on those around us. So, the lesson is to find the hidden sin in your life, represented by the yeast, and remove it with prayer and repentance.
You know, that’s a good idea for every day of our lives. While it’s especially important during a Festival, we should try to live more holy lives, free of the sins that encumber us, and seek to follow HIM.
Be blessed!
