Wish me luck . . .

We’re headed over to my in-laws house in a little while. Like I said yesterday, I’m notribbons.JPG really looking forward to it. I hope I can “hide” those feelings well.

Part of the reason we’re going over today, AND probably Monday, is that my sister-in-law has been foster parenting a little boy. He was recently removed from the home (after nearly 5 years) because of some mental issues. He’s home for a visit and to celebrate Christmas with us. So, for the kids’ sake, as well as his, we’re going there today.

I’m really ambivalent about Monday, which is Christmas Eve day. We’re going back over to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the family on that day. The biggest reason we’re not going back over on Christmas Day is because my in-laws would rather spend the time with friends than family that day. I guess I shouldn’t say anything about it, at least we won’t have to see them 3 times in 4 days. ;)
I’m guessing we’ll go over after breakfast on Monday, stay and have lunch with them, and then head home. My hubby’s singing “Still Her Little Child” as part of the Christmas Eve program at our church. I love that song, and I LOVE to hear my hubby sing. He’s very talented. I just wish he was given more of an opportunity to do so. But, that’s in God’s hands. It’ll happen when it’s supposed to.

My oldest has the sniffles and is coughing. We gave him some cough medicine this morning, and thankfully it seems to be helping. The rest of us seem to be fine. (Well, I guess that’s debatable. LOL) It’s almost time to give him another dose, so I guess I’d better do that before he starts coughing again.

I guess it’s time to start getting ready. Have a great rest of the day, and may you enjoy your time with friends and family.
