Christmas is almost here

Are you finished with your Christmas shopping? I wish I could say that I am, but I can’t. In fact, I have my hubby’s family to buy for, as well as our best friend’s. I think I’m getting a “family” gift for the friends. I have no idea what I’m doing for my hubby’s family. They’re so hard to buy for. I get frustrated and we’re going to have to spend a good part of Christmas day with them. Oh fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I do love my husband’s family. I just don’t like all the negativity they have floating around their house. And it always seems to rub off on us, which isn’t a good thing when it rubs off the worst on the boys. They can be a really big pain in the butt to deal with after spending any time at my in-laws. I’m really NOT looking forward to this. Oh well, I guess I don’t have much choice. I’ll have to grin and bear it as much as I can.

I know what you mean about spending the holiday with negativity. Hang in there! Just remember, that’s what family holidays are all about, lol.
Oh, and as to what to get them, I suggest something consumable. Gourmet food, restaurant gift card, something that doesn’t clutter. Best part: if they like it, you can do something along the same lines next year! Perfect for parents who don’t need anything.

Thanks Rayven, for the encouragement, and for the suggestion. I don’t know why I didn’t think of a gift card for a nice restaurant. There are several around us, so I’m off to check prices.
