Love the visit, hate the drive

We’re going up to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. We love the visit, hate the drive. 5 1/2 hours, and half way through - Nashville. Ugh! It seems they’re ALWAYS doing some kind of road construction, so that makes the trip even more of a pain in the posterior. ![]()
Of course, seeing that we’re leaving tonight instead of tomorrow, the traffic will be even worse. Don’t you just LOVE holiday traffic? NOT! Well, at least we shouldn’t be hittingĀ rush-hour traffic, but I still hate the drive.
Can’t wait for tomorrow. I hope Mom makes her candied sweet potatoes - no one makes them like she does! And she usually has a green jello salad with pineapple and cream cheese. YUMOLA! Of course, she’ll have a big, ol’ honkin’ turkey, mashed potatoes, and maybe we’ll even be lucky enough that Dad will make bread. Gee, I think I’ve gained 10 pounds just thinking about it. LOL
Hope your trip to wherever you’re going is pleasant and uneventful. Be blessed!

Have a happy Thanksgiving Mara and a very safe trip!
Thanks, Tishia. I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving, too. Be blessed!
