Random thoughts of one seeking her place in the worldPosts RSS Comments RSS

I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t going to hit any “Black Friday” sales today. First, I like my sleep too much to give it up to have to deal with rude people. Second, I don’t like having to deal with huge crowds, made up mostly of rude people. Third, I don’t think I’d really be doing my budget any help by spending money I don’t really have to spend. So, nope, I’m staying put. If you happened to brave the crowds to save a few bucks, I hope you didn’t shoot your budget in the foot too badly. :)
Did everyone eat way too much yesterday. I really didn’t do too badly. I didn’t even eat enough turkey to have to deal with the requisite after-Thanksgiving meal nap. I got a little drowsy, but didn’t actually take a nap.

I got to see my brothers for the holiday, and will at least get to see my younger brother and nephew before we have to leave on Saturday. Mom’s fixing lasagna, so you KNOW they’re coming over! Yum! Yum! Yum!

I told my oldest son that “we” - he and I -were going on a diet to lose some weight after the first of the year. Perhaps having the two of us trying, we’ll be able to encourage one another and actually have some success. We’ll see . . .

Well, you all have a great rest of the weekend, not sure I’ll get online tomorrow. If I don’t, remember to enjoy the time with loved ones, and let them know just how much you care.

Be blessed! :D

I’ve been shopping on black Friday one time. It was the first and last time I’ll ever do that. It’s just not worth it and you are right- the people are extremely rude. This year all of my shopping will be online.

I didn’t do any black Friday shopping. I did ask my mother-in-law to pick something up for me, and I’m surprised she did it. Now I have to figure out what to get my oldest son that costs the same amount. Sigh.
