Happy October 1st

fallcolors.JPGThis weekend has been nuts. My husband doesn’t usually work on Saturdays, but he had to THIS week. I like the extra money, but I hate that he doesn’t have the time to relax. Then, after he got home, his mom bothered him about how high the grass was getting, so he cut the grass until dark. The poor guy, didn’t even get to sit down and relax much. Not long after he got finished with the grass, he sat down and zonked out on the recliner. He’d had a busy day, too.

Then, of course, we spent 8 hours at church. That makes for a LONG day. The reason we were at church that long is that hubby is in the choir, so we have to be there by 8am. Then we have two services - 9am and 11am - and he has to sing in both of those. After church, we have small group. That lasted until almost 3. When I got home, all I wanted to do was take a nap! Unfortunately, the kids didn’t want to let me do that. :(
Today, I have a lot of work to do online, plus help the kids do homeschool work, write, etc., etc., etc. To top it all off, our pastor has asked the church to do a three-day liquids fast. I understand the purpose, I’m just praying that my tummy growling doesn’t keep theĀ  kids from doing schoolwork. LOL

Well, if I’m going to get anything done, I’d better get to it. I hope everyone has a great Monday! God bless!!

Wow Mara what a long day! I can’t imagine being at church for that amount of time. I’m always tired and ready for a nap after church and only being there for a couple hours…LOL!

Yes, Tishia, it IS a long day. It really makes the weekend seem short since we don’t have all afternoon to rest and recuperate from the week - much less the day at church!

I have to admit, I’m one of those that like to take a nap after church, too. :)
