A couple of friends of mine and I have started a new Bible study.  It’s called “Victoriously Frazzled,” and looks like it will be very helpful.

Today’s lesson was on being still and letting God fight your battles for you, based on the text of Exodus 14:1-14.  This story is about when the Israelites left Egypt and were headed toward the Red Sea.  God told Moses to turn the Israelites around and head back the way they had just come. Now, how on earth is THAT going to make any sense. But, He also told Moses, that they need not be afraid. If they would stand still, God Himself would fight on their behalf.

The lesson, then, is for us to turn to God, tell Him our problems, and then let Him fight the battle for us. It is in the resting in His arms that we truly gain victory. After all, He already sent Jesus to die on the cross to give us spiritual victory - would He desire anything less for us in areas where we’re struggling?

I’ll try to share what I feel the Lord is saying to me through this study. I pray that it will speak to you, as well, and that you, too will be able to live Victoriously Frazzled.
