Don’t let your husband help!  Let me explain before you think I’m being mean.

My husband has been telling the guys at work that I make the BEST lasagna and he’d bring them some the next time I make it.  Well . . . we bought the ingredients this weekend for me to make this famous lasagna.  I was prepared to make it tonight, and he decided he wanted to “help” me, even though I told him that I could do it.

So, I generally season the cheese mixture with a little bit of oregano, to add a layer of flavor on top of the seasoning in the meat sauce. Bless his heart, he couldn’t wait. He had to get started - and put in about three times the amount of oregano that I normally use.  The cheese mixture looked like - I don’t know what it looked like. There was so much oregano I probably would have tossed it, except I didn’t have anything to replace it with.  I know he was trying to help, but it really was too strong to suit me. He said he liked the flavor of the oregano.

I just hope, when he takes some of it to work tomorrow, that he admits that he made some modifications and that it doesn’t normally taste like that! I doubt it, though, he’ll just let them think that I can’t cook as well as he told them I could!

Oh well, I guess that’s what I get for not immediately getting up and making it. :(

LOL! Sorry I don’t mean to laugh but it is rather humorous :-) You know that he isn’t going to admit to altering the ingredients! LOL.

I don’t mind if you laugh, it is kind of funny. Of course, to avoid having to mention that he’d messed up, he NEVER took any of the lasagna to work. In fact, we ended up giving a good sized piece to the dog. He didn’t seem to mind the extra oregano. ;)
