Man, it’s hot out there!

Bless my sweetie’s heart. He has to work outside in this terrible heat every day at work. I really don’t know how he, or anyone, works in this weather! Phew!! It’s no wonder that he’s wiped out when he gets home.
So, how’s the weather where you live? Here in Alabama, we’ve been having highs in the upper 90s and lower 100s for almost a month. The heat wouldn’t be so bad, except that it’s a humid heat - even though we don’t get much rain. In fact, I believe we’re still in one of the worst droughts the state has seen in 100 years. ![]()
I’m so thankful that my in-laws gave us a good window air conditioner last year. I don’t like the electric bills, but at least we’re not sweltering in our house. (We don’t have central heat/air.) And, since we don’t have very many trees around our house (only one that gives shade), the air conditioner is getting a work out!
As I think of the heat, I think of the soldiers over in Iraq. Have you all seen this? Whether you believe that we should be in Iraq or not, our soldiers need our support. One of the best ways we can support THEM is to pray for them. Check this out, I think you’ll be glad you did - Prayer Central’s Baghdad Prayer Patrol. I’ve been involved for quite some time, and I can’t think of a better way to support the men and women who are serving our country in that area of the world.
Well, hubby’s home from work, and I probably ought to think about spending some time with him. Be blessed and stay cool. ![]()
