candyhearts.jpgWhat do you do when you don’t know what to write? You ramble, at least that’s what I think you’re supposed to do. lol

So, what should I ramble about? Let’s see, how about the kids? Nah, I’ve already rambled on about them and how frustrated I get at times. Homeschooling? Well, I love it for the most part, but I’m not in the mood. My husband? Yeah, why don’t I ramble on about him? This should be easy to do.

I could go on and on about him, because I think he’s wonderful. :) I guess I’m supposed to think that, since I chose to marry him, but I really do think he’s great. We met at Berea College in Kentucky, and I’m a little over three years older than him. I don’t think he knew what to expect when he met me. I’m from the north, he’s from the south. Besides his grandmother, I’m not sure he’d ever met anyone from any further north than Tennessee. lol

He has such a tender heart, and I think that’s one of the things that drew me to him. He’s man enough to be tender, and will cry at many of the same things I cry about. And, no, I don’t believe the concept that a man’s not tough if he cries. You tell him that, and see if you’re still standing before the sentence completely escapes your lips. He also has a “child-like” quality about him, which can be a bit frustrating at times, but for the most part is endearing. He has a warped sense of humor and can zing you before you know what happens. (I guess that’s a good thing, because he can keep up with my dad, the ultimate in zingers!) What can I say, I love him and I’m so blessed to have him as my hubby. :D
We’re going to be celebrating our 21st anniversary at the end of the month. To me, that’s amazing, especially when a lot of marriages are failing after just a year or two. Of course, it helps that both of our parents have remained married. My mom and dad will be celebrating 49 years this year, and his mom and dad will celebrate 42 next year. I praise God for the examples they have been, even when times have been tough. I know we’ll remain married, I have no doubt about it.

Well, I’ve rambled on and need to get some work done. Have a great one! Go surprise someone with a hug or a kiss, just make sure you’re supposed to be hugging or kissing them. ;)

Thanks Dianne :) It’s so hard to believe it’s been that long already. Guess what they say is true, “Time flies when you’re having fun!”
